Conceptual Urban Design for the University Town of the Fifth Cluster of the Starting Area of Xiongan New Area

The Xiongan University Town is located on the north side of the Fifth Cluster of the Starting Area, with a scale of 18.8 square kilometers. The conceptual plan of University Town will integrate the urban texture, ecological context, and spatial form into the Xiongan Starting Area completely, creating a high-quality urban space for all people living here. The campus and the city will grow together organically, showing the unique attraction of the University Town. The Scholar Loop connects six campuses with the city, and the Cross-Axis connects the eastern campuses to western campuses. The green network will create a city with ecological gardens, bring the integration of campus and urban space. Considering the flexibility, we propose a new urban development model with a combination of short-term and long-term development, and promote interactive growth between campuses and cities.
