The Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture (MCGALA) is the first national museum of its kind in China. Built on the principle of "Chinese Gardens, Ideal Homes", the MCGALA is designed to display and carry out the art of garden and landscape architecture, promote traditional Chinese culture. Its construction fills the gap that China does not have a national museum of garden and landscape architecture, and has become a window for garden and landscape architecture education, cultural exchanges and science popularization. The functions of MCGALA include exhibitions, conferences, education, office work, and scientific research. MCGALA has a total of 6 fixed exhibition halls and 4 temporary exhibition halls, as well as 3 indoor exhibition parks rebuilt in equal proportions such as "Carefree Garden", "Pian Shi Shan Fang" and "Yu Yin Shan Fang". The design is based on in-depth consideration of the project conception, and refines and quotes the traditional Chinese architectural morphemes, making the museum a modern building with Chinese charm.
