Comprehensive Landscape Enhancement in Huairou Yanqi Lake Ecological Development Demonstration Zone

This project is located in Yanqi Lake, Huairou District, Beijing, where the 2014 APEC meeting was held. In order to meet the high-end requirements of the APEC summit on the surrounding environment, the planning and design provides comprehensively enhancement design and integration of the planned landscape within the area of 21 square kilometers on the basis of the current landscape environment. 

The project covers the overall landscape improvement, shoreline design, current building renovation planning guidelines, lighting system design, signage system design, urban furniture and municipal facility update, operation planning during the APEC, and post- APEC 5A-level tourist scenic area planning. The project itself has the characteristics of high specifications, large scale, numerous professions and complicated management. Based on the overall planning and design work, EA4 Design Institute cooperated with various management departments to form a project management platform, and coordinated with various professional design departments and implementation units, and finally completed the implementation of the project well, and effectively assisted the owners to promote the project process. The success of the APEC meeting was thereby guaranteed.
